We're looking for a Head of Engineering / Tech Lead (pre-CTO) — a strong hands-on engineer who will help take an early-stage AI product from pilots and POCs to a scalable, production-ready B2B platform.
This is a key leadership role with high ownership, deep technical impact, and close collaboration with the founders.

About the Product

The company is building an AI platform for fintech companies in the U.S. market
The product consolidates data from Google Drive, Slack, CRM systems, and other internal tools, enabling teams to quickly find answers to critical business questions — such as churn drivers, operational efficiency, and compliance risks — without relying on large BI teams or manual analytics workflows.
More than 25 in-depth customer interviews have already been conducted, with many more planned. The product is being built on validated market insights, not assumptions.

Role Mission

  • Take full ownership of the platform architecture;
  • Lead the transition from POC / pilot implementations to a scalable production system;
  • Act as a technical bridge between the founders’ business vision and engineering execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit the current architecture (short-term vs. long-term solutions);
  • Define and evolve the target platform architecture;
  • Work closely with founders on a realistic and prioritized product & tech roadmap;
  • Establish and run engineering processes (daily syncs, delivery tracking, transparency);
  • Stay hands-on (~50% of the time) with implementation;
  • Make key technology choices and architectural decisions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience scaling a product from prototype / POC to a stable production system;
  • Strong understanding of platform architecture, not just feature delivery;
  • Solid backend / platform engineering background;
  • Hands-on experience with a modern Python stack and cloud-native architectures;
  • Experience working with AI technologies: LLM & AI agents
  • ideally — having helped scale an AI startup;
  • at minimum — practical hands-on experience and strong awareness of how LLMs and AI infrastructure have evolved in recent years;
  • A truly hands-on profile (this is not a pure management role);
  • Experience leading a small engineering team or acting as CTO-1 / Senior Tech Lead;
  • Fluent English — required for collaboration with an international team and advisors.

Location & Compensation

  • $150 000 –180 000 gross per year + equity
  • Compensation package is negotiable and depends on experience, seniority, and motivation
  • Fully remote from Europe to the Middle East, as well as Latin America
