We are currently searching for an Audio Engineer. Their passion revolves around crafting games that set new standards within their genres, characterized by accessibility, aesthetic excellence, and sheer enjoyment.

As an Audio Engineer, your responsibilities will involve collaborating closely with the audio design, game design, and engineering units to bring forth both audio and core technological enhancements.
Collaborating with the lead engineer will be crucial in setting overarching objectives for the audio engineering team. Additionally, you will directly engage with the development team to strategize and execute the implementation of audio-related features within the game and the engine.

The perfect candidate for this position is a proficient audio programmer driven by their dedication to the field. Autonomy, proficiency in C++, and a well-established history in game development are key qualities we seek.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating closely with the audio design team to grasp their requisites.
  • Coordinating efforts with the broader team, including game design, to ensure that audio is seamlessly integrated into all feature blueprints and aiding these teams in identifying pragmatic remedies.
  • Executing captivating audio features that are integral to the realization of our project's vision.
  • Taking charge of advancing audio features and the foundational audio technology.
  • Crafting fundamental audio and engine components within our distinctive, proprietary engine.
  • Assisting in refining pipelines and tools for seamless delivery of audio content.
  • Evolving into a pivotal collaborator, capable of thriving within an expansive, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Maintaining an updated awareness of industry trends and optimal practices relating to audio programming methodologies and technologies.

Your qualifications:
  • Proven background in Audio Engineering, evidenced by contributions to at least one released title.
  • Familiarity with external audio tools, and an added advantage if acquainted with FMOD.
  • Proficiency in C++ programming and adeptness in object-oriented design concepts.
  • Prior engagement in the realm of gaming or closely associated software domains.
  • Remarkable aptitude for planning and executing tasks efficiently.
  • Authentic enthusiasm for video games and the intricacies of technical audio design.
  • Good spoken and written English skills.

Interview process:
1. Initial phone screening conducted by a recruiter. This 20-minute call will revolve around your work experience.
2. Interview with both the Lead Engineer overseeing audio, online, and gameplay and the Lead Audio Designer. This 1-hour session offers an opportunity to introduce yourselves, exchange work experiences, delve into your musical interests, and address technical queries.
3. Technical interview led by the Lead Engineer, featuring live coding exercises. This interview, lasting 1 hour, evaluates your technical prowess.
4. Concluding interview involving the Lead Engineer and Chief Engineer. During this 2-hour interaction, you will engage in discussions centred around technical cases.

Job conditions:
  • A competitive salary that is customized based on each candidate's individual discussion.
  • Hybrid work arrangement (3 office attendance days are required; the specific days are left to the employee's discretion).
  • The standard workweek spans 37.5 hours. For instance, you could distribute your hours across the entire week, with 10.5 hours each day, concluding on Friday at 16:00.
  • Every quarter, bonuses are distributed based on the game's sales, and the bonus amount varies.
  • Non-UK candidates receive extensive assistance in managing relocation packages and obtaining visas if required. This includes visas for family members granting spousal work authorization. Additionally, the company covers the initial month's housing expenses, accompanied by a relocation payment that the count of family members determines.
