About the Company:
Our client is a technology company in the orthodontics space. The team builds a platform doctors use to order and oversee aligner production: uploading patient scans and photos, receiving and approving 3D treatment plans, and tracking manufacturing status. The platform covers the full cycle - from data intake to 3D modeling and production management.
About the role:
The company is looking for a strong hands-on developer to take technical leadership of the team. This isn't a classic Team Lead in the "manager who stopped coding" sense: here the lead writes code alongside the team and sets the pace of development. The management side is secondary and grows out of engineering credibility - the team should see you as someone worth following.
Strong management skills matter first and foremost for communication - within the team and with the business - rather than for formal supervision.

What you'll be doing
- Keeping up the pace of development and owning it before both the team and the business.
- Proposing and rolling out teamwork practices: daily format, retros, task distribution.
- Being the main point of contact with the business on development status and plans.
- Owning the quality of code that AI agents bring into pull requests - understanding every line rather than waving it through.
Stack
- Backend: Python, MySQL, Redis, Celery.
- Frontend: React, TypeScript.
- 3D visualization: WebGL, some C++.
- Infrastructure: cloud, containerization, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
What we're looking for
- Experience as a team lead or lead developer with solid management skills.
- Knowledge of Python and C++ is a big plus and will help you ramp up faster. There's no hard requirement on the stack - what matters more is the ability to get up to speed on new technologies quickly.
- An AI-native approach to development.
- Experience in startups / fast-growing companies is a plus.
- Fluent Russian
Conditions
- Location: Moscow or Moscow region (office in Skolkovo). Hybrid format: a couple of days a week on-site at the lab to stay in the same context as the team.
- Salary: RUB 350-500k net, negotiable based on experience and expectations.
- Employment: via labor contract or as a sole proprietor, both options available.
