Kernel Developer (Archive)

Colleagues are looking for a specialist to enhance their expertise in the KernelCare team in the fastest-growing product, which provides automated kernel security updates without reboots for the most popular Linux distributions. It ensures optimal performance and uptime by allowing hosting providers and enterprises to keep kernels up-to-date with all security patches while keeping servers online.

On the project, the specialist will release vulnerability patches for various Linux distributions, add support for new kernel versions, investigate custom problems, analyze logs and crash dumps, fix defects, and develop product development (create new features, technologies and expand test coverage).

For this position, you will need:
  • Excellent C programming and debugging skills.
  • Good level of knowledge of Linux kernel core subsystems.
  • CPU and cache architectures.
  • Experience with GDB and other debuggers.
  • CPU performance and power analysis.
  • Proficient in Git for development and patch/branch management.
  • Happy in an agile, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Python and Shell scripting.
  • Experience with Jenkins.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
