This is a POS & E-commerce platform purpose-built to solve the biggest challenges in cannabis retail. The company is headquartered in California. The goal is to make this platform the only software that cannabis retailers use on a daily basis. The team has spent the past two years working closely with a handful of customers to build a product that not only supports point of sale, but also E-Commerce, last mile delivery, and consumer marketing.

The company just closed a $300 million investment round. Now the plan is to merge with a large company to take over 90 percent of the entire U.S. market.

Currently the colleagues are looking for a strong specialist who can unite two large teams and set the vector of the technical part of the project. The team consists of 100 technical specialists, with plans to grow to 200 in the near future.

The following tasks await you on the project:
  • Leading the migration from a Python monolithic system to .NET microservices stack;
  • Managing teams of software developers to deliver high quality software solution, including planning, monitoring and quality management;
  • Overseeing all aspects of engineering, including technical strategy, technology blueprint, information security and best practices & technology stacks;
  • Streamline Agile, C.I & DevOps methodology & increasing awareness.

The experience colleagues would like to see:
  • Proven track record in designing and developing enterprise-grade software.
  • Proven 5+ years of product oriented team management experience, including managing remote teams.
  • Experience in a leadership role in large companies (150+ people, 10+ product teams).
  • Strong background in .NET stack.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Commercial experience in American company or with American colleagues.

This is a unique opportunity to create one of the first applications in this segment, which will subsequently affect the entire market. Now the project is actively developing in the U.S. market, but later it is planned to enter the European market too!
